This place looks just like some of the pubs in England right down to the carpet. (Except Firkin's carpet is not sticky.) Its just newer than the pubs over there. There were 10 of us in our party tonight and we all had a great time. Going to head back next Tuesday again. Why? 2 for 1 drinks!! A BIG thanks to Firkin for bring a taste of home to the west side.

The first impression through the door is "This place smells bad." That is where A and D should have turned around and left. From this point on it just got worse.
Essentially, this is a bar that also serves food. The problem is that the food is really not very good and only pretends to be British. "Bangers and Mash" comes as a gloppy plate of beaked beans, bland mashed potato and onion, and very anemic, tasteless, mealy sausages. A good British pub would be run out of business if they tried to foist this stuff off on the paying public. No value here.
Lots of beer on tap . . . good British beer. Unfortunately, the server had no clue as to the available choices. Three employees were playing pool; the owner or general manager spend his time talking on his cell phone. The staff shuffled in and out for smoke breaks -- mostly out.
The decor is bad faux British pub. The reality is that this style of pub decor went out of style 25 years ago in England. Coupled with bad food and bad odors, the result is a themed dive bar.
The Firkin & Fox is a Pass & Avoid pub.
