Stella's Blue Sky Diner: User Reviews
Stella's Blue Sky Diner

The outside and inside echo back to a simpler time. This 1950s themed restaurant has staff with shirts stating they’re a jerk. A soda jerk, that is. From the old fashioned soda fountain, the round TV, jukebox and booths to the menu, a nostalgic and fun time can be had by all!
The menu features many of the things you’d have seen on the old TV show Alice. From the burgers to the meatloaf, they have standard American fare covered. Many items can be had with their Neutron sauce (a spicy cheese mix) which perks up burgers and fries alike. But the one item they have that everyone comes for is their malts and shakes. Not only do they make them thick and rich and bring them out in the tall metal blender glasses, but then they practice feats of wonder while pouring it into the cup. Scenes of shakes being poured from atop a chair or atop a table while the victim…err…customer holds their glass on their head awaiting certain ice cream doom! Then to top it all off they offer the last “drop” directly plopped into a waiting mouth from heights unimaginable. Fortunately these well trained 50s wizards seldom make a big mistake and all of it winds up in the proper spot…virtually all of it.
The food is fair, the price is quite reasonable and the ambiance is fun. This is a great place for kids, families, individuals and couples alike! They have a private parking lot as it in the end of a strip mall, so parking is free and readily available.

I guess I just have a problem with the fact that they are in a strip mall. Call me a snob, but I expect a diner to look like one when I drive up on it. I guess the food was good, but what I paid for a burger, I would have expected 1/2 pound, not 1/3...The shake I got was one step above McDonalds, not all that creamy like what you get at the Drake Diner or Bauders. I guess if I want fast food Diner food I'll go to B-Bops, at least they look like a Diner sort of when you drive up. They seem to have a hard time staying open, how many times have they closed and opened back up over the years?

Great, made from scratch food with a fun 50's atmosphere. Get a shake poured on your head for a big laugh. We took the whole family for under $50.
