Let's do lunch!

Just got back from a lunch interview at proof and it was fabulous. Although I was a tad disappointed with my dinner there a few months ago, the lamb burger I had today was amazing. It came on a pita, with soup and was sprinkled with quinoa amazingness. Definitely worth the $9.

Went to proof for lunch on a gorgeous friday afternoon. I ordered the Moroccan Chicken Flat Bread and salad. I thought the food was good, nothing spectacular but tasty. It was a nice light meal, which i like for lunch. The Ambiance is great, very minimalistic which i enjoy. I'll agree with the previous poster about visible empty bottles in the back. I gave the service an average rating because basically someone took our order on the counter and then delivered our food, not a whole lot to it. Seemed like the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I thought it was a bit overpriced for the amount of food. I will be returning though.

Painfully overpriced !! I would not recommend it.

Painfully overpriced!! $71!! (tip included) for a Friday evening eat out? **OUCH!! ** . The menu was very confusing. The waitress was not clear with it herself. The meal portions was all together a tad lesser than a small muffin each! Very poor quantity; nothing high quality either. 4 course dinner (the only available item) 1st-soup; 2nd- 3 chips & 4 thin slices of egg plant with a smudge of whipped cream; 3rd- ¼ stuffed green pepper. They left the remaining 90% of the plate completely EMPTY! That’s how I came out feeling. My friend & me came home and had to have a filling heat n’ eat dinner after.
The ambience was dull green paint, tacky tables covered with used black table cloth and a wilting small green branch in a vase, a waiter & waitresses with very middle class demeanor, partly empty bottles of alcohol against the wall at the back; a scratched glass case with cans of coke. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s very poor in everything.

First time in Proof today and if you can stand the noise level you will really like the food. It was terrific. Staff was happy and helpful. Prices were very good for the amount of food, which was plentiful. Food was excellent with detail to presentation. If they can do something about the noise level, they will have the new 'it' place.

Disappointing! Was expecting more from the hype of Chris Place from django and Anthony Pill from Sage. Food took too long for my lunch hour, and was okay. Maybe my expectations were too high, but really?? Clean look, simple menu, shouldn't be so hard to execute. I hope it is too early to tell.
