good place to become a regular. very welcoming to newbies also, the bartenders are regulars, and regulars are bartenders from othe bars. great place to have bombs and shots, they are all about those! the only thing is, the workers/owners are your friends if your spending money, youll feel like your one of them, until they take the party bus out, or have an "outing" .. then there will conveniently be no room for you. and once you get tied up in their world, its alot like being in high school again, only a 30 yr old high school..

I have never seen any violence or threatening behavior in this bar. I have no idea what Mongo can be referring to because the atmosphere is very friendly and there are no shady people around. I encourage people to go check it out with friends and family because Gronau's is more like Cheers than anything else!

How can anyone else rate this place a 5 on ambiance? Half the time I've been there I'm afraid of getting mugged or losing the shirt off of my back! The crowd is a little rough and there's nothing really special about this place at all. It's a cookie cutter bar than keeps the lights really dim so you can't see the disgusting floors and holes in the wall. This place is like a 2.5.

The bartenders make great drinks and are very attentative without being overbearing. I like to stop in for the happy hour specials and for the great music. I stopped in last night to watch some football and apparently, I wasn't the only one who thought it would be nice to watch the game on the big projection screen!

I have been going to gspot for over 4 years. There have been quite a lot of changes but all of them have been for the best. The tent party was such a blast to be at and to help work at. This is the bar that we always go to or end up going to at the end of the night. Keep rocking layne and cindy we love you both so much. This is the best spot to hang with your friends, meet new ones or just party like a rock star

Todd has a knack for taking on a challenge of keeping a place interesting, relaxing and fun at the same time over the long haul. This place has shown great improvement from years past prior to Gronau's! I look forward to catching many a buzz at Gronau's!

The stripper pole is gone...made way for more seating.. dance floor is gone but people tend to dance in the same area the dance floor used to be. The staff and service is always good. The owners wife whom also bartends should get on the hottest bartender list. Layne and the crew at gronau's always take good care of me. The crowd is mixed which is nice...Not too stuffy and not too trashy. Overall it's a great bar, no bells no whistles, no atitude, just a cool place to hang out at.

So tired of the up tight/meat market/my clothes aren't right/i don't weigh 92 lbs/drinks are $9.50 each kind of bar! I don't want to have to hire a clothes designer and spend the entire day at the spa to fit in, nor to I want to go to a skanky smelling like a mens' urinal with chunks of ceiling falling in my drink because "hole in the wall" bars are "hip" now. Finally! Gronau's is the perfect place - you can sit had have a conversation, you can play pool if you fill like it, you can get jiggy if you feel like it, you can have a mellow night, you can have a crazy nutty night. Also, customer service rocks at Gronau's, the owner not only remembers your name, remembers your drink. When he is not working, he is sitting next to you, hanging and parting. His wife is uber cool and they are always there together. Gronau's is where you can be yourself and just have a good time!

Making a great drink is the focus of every bartender who works at Gronau's- I can never complain about the drink-making skills or of the attentative service. The food menu is limited but what they do offer is always tasty- and the steaks on Tuesday are perfectly seasoned and cooked! There isn't much of a crowd during the "happy hour" period but I like being able to watch tv, listen to music and talk with the people who are there. It is a great way to relax after work and a fun way to party late at night on the weekends.
