I adore Jethro's in Drake neighborhood. Had the opportunity to visit the new location during a soft opening, and have been back three times since. From what I can tell, Drake location seems to have pretty regular kitchen staff. Meaning, they don't switch places often. That said, food at new location was subpar except at soft opening. Another thing is the name. Six words for a restaurant name? Not sure if it's a case indecisiveness or just people who fought so hard, they all gave up and "let everyone win?" Last but not least, your macaroni and cheese is not the most "amazing thing in Des Moines." I've read interviews and stories about the person who came up with this recipe, and truthfully, I don't get it. This person gets a lot of hype, but really has little to show for it - try working a little harder. Am I bias about the Jethro's in Drake? Yes. Stick with what you know, do what you do best, and be proud of what you have accomplished, Jethro's.
