10 dinners for under $50

Is there anyone out there who hasn't been hit by this recession? If so, please keep that to yourself. For the rest of us, I propose a selection of 10 gratifying dinners out that cost under $50 for two, including tax, tip, and one alcoholic beverage per person.

Of course, any twosome can eat for well under the $50 mark. But I'm not talking about mere belly-filling. This is dining as entertainment - a night out at a place that offers enough by way of service and ambience (or at least a lively enough scene) to make us feel we've been somewhere. No ordering at the counter and no paper plates.
