Nice neighborhood spot

I was craving something good for lunch today, and wanted to stay in my neighborhood. It dawned on me that I hadnt yet visited Grounds for Celebration, so I ventured out in search for lunch there. They do have a full lunch menu on most days, but only offer their chicken salad on Sundays. That was fine with me, as I love a good chicken salad sandwich. The staff was extremely friendly, and the place was pretty full for a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and my choice of side, which was the pasta salad (I could choose between pasta salad, potato salad and chips). The chicken salad was really good and had grapes in it, which is the way I like it. It got a bit rich for me at times with the creamy mayo base, so I actually took some off and ate part of the croissant on its own. It was flaky and perfect! The pasta salad was quite good, but Im not sure if I would have picked it as my side if I knew that it too, like the chicken salad, was a rich and creamy mayo based. The two of them combined got to be a bit much for me, but they were great on their own. Im excited to return and try some of the other things on the menu ( a pizza burger looked intriguing) and their award-winning coffee and tea.
