The Big D menu at Smokey D’s is a manly oasis within the already manly enclave inside an already man-friendly menu. There’s a BBQ Sampler, The Whole Pit (it feeds six people), The Farm Boy (tenderloin, spud sticks, bacon, gravy and cheddar cheese on white bread) and the one-pound Man Handler.
This sandwich includes your choice of three barbecue meats (choose from chopped pork, sliced brisket, sliced turkey, smoked sausage, burnt ends and pulled chicken), served on an entire loaf of garlic bread with melted Swiss or pepper jack cheese. You can add your desired sauces to taste (go hot or go home).
The Man Handler is big, but not too difficult to finish. Just keep in mind that pieces of meat will be falling out with every bite. If you want to claim true victory you’ll need to sauce those chunks up and clean your basket with a fork (or your fingers, if you want to go all caveman with it).
