visited appare this past weekend with family. the staff at the bar so fun and friendly, got to meet the owner, then headed into the resteraunt for dinner. our chef was a sweethart. flipping food into our mouths and preforming all his tricks. food was fabulous and we all had a great time. will definately come back

I used to LOVE Appare, they were big on Customer Satisfaction when they were first open. They used to give away A LOT of food "On the house" the quality was exceptional....then they told my brother and I that they were not going to give us FUZION style rolls and they were going to cutback. Ken the Manager was not willing to please his customers and my brother and I often left there quite angry. Together we often would spend $40-60 per lunch and we went there for almost 8 months.
Now, we have found Samurai Sushi & Habachi in the Jordan Creek Mall Shopping Center adjacent to Costco & Lowes.
The quality is better, the food is Amazing and the Quality is Awesome ! Appare is #2 on my list NOT #1 Samurai is #1

We tried this for the first time on my birthday and went all out ordering several things to share for all of us. Everything was awesome! The atmosphere is much nicer than the typical sushi place and the server was very helpful even when we were unsure of what some things were. This was one of our best nights out in some time!

My visits to Appare have been quite pleasant. My wife and I frequently go here for sushi. There is an array on the menu and it is prepared very well. The atmosphere is quiet, personal, and romantic. If you are looking for a nice place to take a date this would be a good recommendation.

Appare has the best sushi in town! The variety offered is second to none. The freshness of the fish is amazing for the Midwest. Most of all, every bite was tasteful and satisfying.
We've been to several other sushi restaurants in town, and no other restaurant has the variety and taste that Appare has.

The sushi, I believe, is second best in the city (Miyabi9 is the best). They also have a great Bento Box for lunch that is reasonably priced. Specialty rolls can get expensive, but they are worth it. Try the daily special and you won't be disappointed. Sitting at the sushi bar is always a good way to score some a free appetizer and get in good with the sushi chefs. The biggest problem with this restaurant is that service can quite often be very inattentive and the food can come out at different times. More than once I've been at dinner where some order sushi and some order a non-sushi item, and the sushi comes out way after the non-sushi items do, and this presents the choice to the non-sushi eater to either eat while their food is hot and eat alone or wait and eat cold food (kind of defeats the purpose of not eating sushi...). All in all, a good place to entertain a crowd for dinner or swing in for lunch.
