The owner and chef is Miyabi "Mike" Yamamoto, who has opened and sold restaurants in California and Maine and most recently Boston, where he had Miyabi 9 about five years. Seafood in Des Moines

Considering the fact that Iowa is in the middle of the America and not near much water, one might think it would be impossible to find good seafood here. Surprisingly, the Des Moines metro has some great spots-and a few that fly in fresh fish daily.

A few of these will never change, but Im sure there will be additions once I hit those places on my "Never been, need to go" playlist.
