Awkward post-show marriages! Even more awkward post-show arrests!
For over six years, ABC has donated its valuable airspace to the noble pursuit of helping the world’s most eligible single men and women find true love on “The Bachelor” and its lady-centric spin-off, “The Bachelorette.” Unfortunately, it hasn’t always worked out so well.
As a matter of fact, it’s technically worked out (i.e. marriage) just once. Most other contestants have parted ways, amicably or dramatically, to focus their energies on careers, other relationships and public intoxication. First up: Fairytale alert! Inaugural “Bachelorette” Trista Rehn indeed married winner Ryan Stutter. Their nuptials aired for an audience of over 26 million on an ABC wedding special. They’ve since had a son, gotten pregnant with another child and enjoyed their presumably lucrative Skechers sponsorship deal.
