    Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure

    Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure - 4 1/2

2723 Ingersoll Ave. - Des Moines (Ingersoll Avenue)

I love going here for chai and knitting. People always bring their laptops and work because it's quiet and the coffee is fantastic.

    Mars Cafe

    Mars Cafe - 5

2318 University Ave. - Des Moines (Drake)

It can be noisier here, when it's packed with Drake kids or having live music. But it's the coffeehouse I always wished was there when I was in college. I usually get a peach white tea or one of their cleverly named drinks, but they have wine by the glass, too. Grab a board game or plug in and get some work done.
